At the press conference dated 27 February, Mr. Le Quang Hung, the head of the State commission of construction quality (Ministry of Construction) introduced the international exhibition of construction technologies named Vietconstech 2012 which would be held from 27-29 June,2012. This Expo is firstly held in Hanoi, aiming at showing achievements in construction technology, quality management solutions for local and foreign organizations and enterprises operating in fields of construction, construction quality control, production and supply of building equipment, construction materials, software, etc.

The exhibition is expected to attract about 150 companies with over 200 booths and more than 10,000 visitors.

As the Expo instructor, Hung said, the Ministry of Construction is promoting Vietconstech as one of the biggest annual events in the construction industry in Vietnam.

The organizer has received registration of exhibitors from the international corporations and joint ventures with foreign enterprises, such as Vietsovpetro, Sumimoto (Japan), Bureau Veritas (France) Bauer (Germany), Pure Projects (Australia) ... These have applied modern technologies to build large-scale projects including Metro, nuclear power plants, deep water ports, airports, cable-stayed bridge ...

In addition, the Expo has drawn attention of  many reputable construction companies in the country such as Vinaconex Corporation, Thang Long Construction corporation, FECON Foundation Engineering & Underground Construction JSC and so on. They will introduce the technology and innovation which have been successfully applied in practice to save cost, shorten construction time for high economic efficiency.
